Our Mission: To make the people of Tsavo aware of how rampant poaching and deforestation threaten Tsavo’s ecosystem on which they depend. And, to educate about what can be done to stave off these threats and make better use of local resources. We work with rural communities in East Africa to conserve unique wildlife and critical habitats.
We also promote sustainable livelihoods through environmental education and capacity building. Our role is to provide information, alternatives, and opportunities in an atmosphere of openness, honesty, and cooperation. Our guiding value is that each community is unique and must find its own solutions to the problems of sustainability, and we know that learning is an ongoing and constant process for all of us.
